COMP:DF: Ambroxol (HCl): Tab 30mg; Liquid 15mg/5ml, 30mg/5ml; Solution (inhalation) 15mg/2ml
MOA: Mucociliary clearance ↑ & enhances pulmonary surfactant production
CI: Known hypersensitivity to ambroxol
AE: Pyrosis, dyspepsia, N/V, allergic reactions
W&P: Solution contains benzalkonium chloride that may cause bronchoconstriction when inhaled in patients with hyperactive airway; PRC ?, Lact ?
IND:DOS: Mucolytic: Adults & CH>12yo: 30mg PO tid or 60mg PO bid (enhanced therapy); CH 6-12yo: 15-30mg PO bid-tid or 1-2 inhalation(s) qd; CH 2-6yo: 7.5-15mg PO tid or 1 inhalation qd; CH 1-2yo: 7.5-15mg PO bid or 1 inhalation qd; CH<1yo: 7.5mg PO qd or 1 inhalation qd
